As a NERC Auditor in the FRCC/SERC region based in Tampa, FL, I’ve played a critical role in ensuring compliance with critical regulations governing the operation of power plants across the SERC/FRCC region. Some of my notable project experiences include:
FPL ATL (Audit Team Lead) 2017-2018: In this project, I led audit teams in the execution of O&P (693) Compliance Audits in the NERC-FRCC Region. This required deep expertise in regulatory compliance, as well as strong leadership and communication skills to effectively lead the team and manage the project.
RSAWTF and OPCTF (NERC): As an active member in RSAWTF and OPCTF, I played a critical role in developing and implementing critical policies and procedures governing the operation of power plants across the US. This required a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges facing power plants in the region.
Compliance with Government Auditing Standards: As a NERC Auditor, I ensured compliance with critical Government Auditing Standards for objectivity, independence, impairment, rules of evidence, and professional judgment. This required deep expertise in regulatory compliance, as well as strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Other Assignments: In addition to my core responsibilities as a NERC Auditor, I also performed other assignments as directed by the Senior Manager of Compliance Monitoring, VP Operations, and/or the SERC President/CEO. This required strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Overall, my NERC 693 experience demonstrates a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. My Electrical Power engineering expertise in a variety of critical areas makes me a valuable asset as a SERC O&P Auditor and I’m committed to delivering exceptional service and support to SERC’s region entities. Whether it’s leading audit teams or ensuring compliance with critical regulation.
